Hike Sanson's Peak Boardwalk

Sanson's Peak is a short walk from the Upper Terminal of the Banff Gondola. After disembarking from the gondola, follow the signs to Sanson's Peak Boardwalk.

The boardwalk leads to the historic Sanson's Peak Meteorological Station, which was used by Norman Sanson, a weather observer, in the early 20th century.

Along the boardwalk, you'll encounter interpretive signs providing information about the area's history, wildlife, and geology.

Hiking Sulphur Mountain Summit Trail

While there isn't a formal trail from the Banff Gondola's Upper Terminal to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, adventurous hikers can explore the area around the summit for additional viewpoints. Be aware that the terrain can be rugged and uneven, so proper footwear and caution are advised. Keep in mind that the weather conditions at the summit can change rapidly, so be prepared with appropriate clothing and gear.
